Today was the perfect opportunity to show her a bit about sewing I thought........<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVoJU0WXIE64amWOC8LJmJLzKbSerNAewu54H7UOv2sCqTT4WdZY7wTeyRc8jl8BnmXlr8yAZ_D_uabpjISlP7L_vTkUSLILswGCl8Rxt7pRBZnYSuPJOcpdtdBpZ_3QQuJlZdZov5JBs/s1600/spencer+sew.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVoJU0WXIE64amWOC8LJmJLzKbSerNAewu54H7UOv2sCqTT4WdZY7wTeyRc8jl8BnmXlr8yAZ_D_uabpjISlP7L_vTkUSLILswGCl8Rxt7pRBZnYSuPJOcpdtdBpZ_3QQuJlZdZov5JBs/s320/spencer+sew.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Her biggest thrill was pulling the thread out from the skein! Also taking breaks and looking around my sewing room. But it didn't turn out to bad. We then sewed it on the machine to stuff it. She held the footie and made the needle go up and down lol. It was a blast. She ended up deciding it would be a cute little pillow for her baby.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-nCFLgb6k0zbE_FR8lyy7sdJmj_Co37CwudyZ42h7m7vFroVngxjR3c-7vmNf3vU0GDktCoA1uL6emmvg96rHZQKNNB1w6xLTnqkVVbIUFvIg4WMJyrNmJ_xfFg1jDYrf9w_kTQz66Zs/s1600/finished.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-nCFLgb6k0zbE_FR8lyy7sdJmj_Co37CwudyZ42h7m7vFroVngxjR3c-7vmNf3vU0GDktCoA1uL6emmvg96rHZQKNNB1w6xLTnqkVVbIUFvIg4WMJyrNmJ_xfFg1jDYrf9w_kTQz66Zs/s320/finished.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>After she left I made up the banner my sister and I will hang for our tea party for the great nieces of ours.<br />
Started with a vinyl tablecloth I picked up for 1.70 on mark down.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgewT9XJl_yNqpZbAsESLtcrQcwFT7bkz5fCVW4X_Bcc1YtJNsKuemzygGPfoDtxvhutlVAlD-W6sLrGap9-qsJ12X163t8EqPxpcRAv54qlRKLXtXglSv77IoTVjQTUAEXBkj9T9pa3ls/s1600/CIMG1161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgewT9XJl_yNqpZbAsESLtcrQcwFT7bkz5fCVW4X_Bcc1YtJNsKuemzygGPfoDtxvhutlVAlD-W6sLrGap9-qsJ12X163t8EqPxpcRAv54qlRKLXtXglSv77IoTVjQTUAEXBkj9T9pa3ls/s320/CIMG1161.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Then onto cutting, sewing, pinning, sewing more, cutting and the finished product I am sorry to say I could not get my camera to get a great picture of. Sew here is a glimpse of the banner.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioeZsQhHx5NevfVkellM73-M4hdQMhXxtHNQN2Bji_yqwR96CiqIDM8S5MZgVy_HtTMaOgbhRvtDeixvZZbOwxnE-3GNpJ4oU4Pl35GdGUo3T8MrU8TeU2dFlvnPh2nRvJAWtm2hQ8590/s1600/tea+part.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioeZsQhHx5NevfVkellM73-M4hdQMhXxtHNQN2Bji_yqwR96CiqIDM8S5MZgVy_HtTMaOgbhRvtDeixvZZbOwxnE-3GNpJ4oU4Pl35GdGUo3T8MrU8TeU2dFlvnPh2nRvJAWtm2hQ8590/s320/tea+part.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>It looks better than this picture does lol.<br />
For the next big news. I stumbled on a new blog http://cplgblog.blogspot.com/ really great sights on it. In fact one of the blogs that I so love visiting, http://harvestmoonbythelake.blogspot.com/ , Leanne, has her creations and is part of the blog. It was such a special tumble onto it. The day I saw it was Thursday and come to find out they were having a giveaway, guess what I won it! It is a beautiful doll. She is going to fit right in with all my other dolls "hanging" around the house.<br />
When I get her in I will be sure to take a great picture of her in her new home!<br />
Have a fantastic weekend...................Sandysunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-242296003526610742011-03-26T18:20:00.000-04:002011-03-26T18:20:21.117-04:00spring at last?Well spring, sprang this week. But somebody forgot to tell Mother Nature, because it was a cold wet week. We had snow flurries, rain, low temps. I mean it is New England and what would spring be like if we did not have fools weather like we did? Some people have told me they have daffodils and crocuses blooming, but I have not seen them in my yard. Now today was a beautiful Saturday the sun was shining so brightly in the sky, but it was cold! As I am sitting here in the kitchen with the sun brightening my day I am FREEZING!<br />
Today I made some little flower pin cushions, I have made them before, so easy to do, not a thought goes into them. I think I needed to do this little fun project just for fun.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyN_pm3auCS1ASVUBcN28YYtdhuXNFYQrO8840ITECvl-j0HQVM3eXobTkqpuj78IWucbbTgejl8TuA8-MNMFQtTceMU_Cn7Sw5LT6Isp6UFZKTk1vw8TW2NlkiDzAegDGAstAhGR45ek/s1600/5+pins.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyN_pm3auCS1ASVUBcN28YYtdhuXNFYQrO8840ITECvl-j0HQVM3eXobTkqpuj78IWucbbTgejl8TuA8-MNMFQtTceMU_Cn7Sw5LT6Isp6UFZKTk1vw8TW2NlkiDzAegDGAstAhGR45ek/s320/5+pins.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>You make them on a golf tee, and then place them in a spool to use while you are sewing. Or in my case just to add more pin cushions on my work table. Love them......<br />
I finished this past week my sewing book that I had gotten from http://atthehoneysuckletree.blogspot.com/ . A really great blog. Here is my finished work.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWzGTtcUnKqJfmhW7JbddhuRAczivG49KbBtRrDlIqzEc6wTzP-1EQLbGkgFso9qT6WkSPmHOrSYBb6VTkkSNnd5bRdOGHn9rGi7ihgfjcFm-aq8ZZ7Ac8LeffblAMPjAQuBesZ9XbEsw/s1600/booklet.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWzGTtcUnKqJfmhW7JbddhuRAczivG49KbBtRrDlIqzEc6wTzP-1EQLbGkgFso9qT6WkSPmHOrSYBb6VTkkSNnd5bRdOGHn9rGi7ihgfjcFm-aq8ZZ7Ac8LeffblAMPjAQuBesZ9XbEsw/s320/booklet.JPG" width="320" /></a> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuWeNRCFA1gjDxnzwnj1mwxP3uUtoCZ2uullg3GM56BkGtS44T8wGdv6v4gc_mgf4m2UX_UpBByNpbz7guYsBXtMXz6e-iLUwtLSY7xzCVmhcQ5nQIhCczgY42qIZ03vInMfKRkv5dZZs/s1600/inside+needle.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuWeNRCFA1gjDxnzwnj1mwxP3uUtoCZ2uullg3GM56BkGtS44T8wGdv6v4gc_mgf4m2UX_UpBByNpbz7guYsBXtMXz6e-iLUwtLSY7xzCVmhcQ5nQIhCczgY42qIZ03vInMfKRkv5dZZs/s320/inside+needle.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>It came out pretty good if I do say so myself. It was a nice change doing some cross stitching. I had not done it in a while.<br />
And last but not least, this past week my daughter and I made a fabulous recipe we had seen on the Create TV channel, <a href="http://www.createtv.com/CreateProgram.nsf/vProgramsByNola/DINA?OpenDocument&Index=">New Scandinavian Cooking</a>, pan seared scallops, with grapefruit. I have to say so easy to make, so fresh to eat, we were trying to bring spring to our house a bit earlier than it actually wants too!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMY9bGgiT37VnNWGe2z0p_RmajBaQWkyoAPCev5Oxl0pqqFGFIlpVEh8IJJyEYbuoZ8SsDPQMHKFsovKPSzIDuy-lpqfmbmT49Tmvbs4tDP3-c-O1NCVt52plH7p18cR7WoY66V8pmn-k/s1600/food.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMY9bGgiT37VnNWGe2z0p_RmajBaQWkyoAPCev5Oxl0pqqFGFIlpVEh8IJJyEYbuoZ8SsDPQMHKFsovKPSzIDuy-lpqfmbmT49Tmvbs4tDP3-c-O1NCVt52plH7p18cR7WoY66V8pmn-k/s320/food.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It makes my mouth water just looking at it. And yes if you make a great and delicious dish to eat, I say take a picture of it and share!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Happy, happy, crafting! Enjoy your week.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Sandy</div>sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-51683492846884888752011-03-17T19:56:00.000-04:002011-03-17T19:56:30.692-04:00Saturday FunWell last Saturday spent the day with my sister. This is some of what we did.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLEj5qM2s63oNyHfvsOCEzE10uDU3PfU3gheQtY1586NL0Gau2HGKY2O6qdu7NS3GPi5ACT-q4wklH9HRE19Hx2bFRMidzeGek3otoCA1vj1UyyN2JZ2HQUTt3xLZVjBTRMtFJUwnb86Q/s1600/withgayle.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLEj5qM2s63oNyHfvsOCEzE10uDU3PfU3gheQtY1586NL0Gau2HGKY2O6qdu7NS3GPi5ACT-q4wklH9HRE19Hx2bFRMidzeGek3otoCA1vj1UyyN2JZ2HQUTt3xLZVjBTRMtFJUwnb86Q/s320/withgayle.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I really should clarify this, what Gayle did lol. I am not a paper craft person too much, I mean I make things here and there, but mostly material is my thing. We sat together for about 3 hrs just catching up (we don't get too much chat time alone) then we did some photo's, she is such a great photographer. Well anyone is better than me! Here is something she perfected for me.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC4KQfSKi_Dec2rx24Bjx69r6hdVIFADdtmq6Jdoee8HdwSagR7vQzE1_vrDr0BkcvNeWk9zOmsStMe7tySdwZcNShBFZZsgZi5wH7loEcCjnQ6pUdbEDd0RNPnFvTsDKt-IvZ2-dCgF8/s1600/fencebanner.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC4KQfSKi_Dec2rx24Bjx69r6hdVIFADdtmq6Jdoee8HdwSagR7vQzE1_vrDr0BkcvNeWk9zOmsStMe7tySdwZcNShBFZZsgZi5wH7loEcCjnQ6pUdbEDd0RNPnFvTsDKt-IvZ2-dCgF8/s320/fencebanner.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I love it. That is when we moved into her craft room, a light bulb just went off I should have taken a photo for you to see. Anyways, she said I have these thought we could make some bookmarks or whatever. Right then and there I grab 3 and set to work. I paint them, I go through an old book it's working (my mind) and then I glue and paste, and then I lost it. So needless to say I sat there dumb founded. So I chatted and she created, they came out well I must say.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So this is other things I have been working on</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrFb1V5ETw5zZeuz0hOUSiSS_uL48CG2V11YTOHuy-FvjzqEhDm8KfNtAhssBsrtugVImBSLq_1Q74FdCv0WeWLFKeD8PFHa5ZmrQ434_aMswm2qGOMhrCiDPkFNs8Mw7dx0XbQn7MF8s/s1600/chickentabletop5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrFb1V5ETw5zZeuz0hOUSiSS_uL48CG2V11YTOHuy-FvjzqEhDm8KfNtAhssBsrtugVImBSLq_1Q74FdCv0WeWLFKeD8PFHa5ZmrQ434_aMswm2qGOMhrCiDPkFNs8Mw7dx0XbQn7MF8s/s320/chickentabletop5.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Just something I thought I would throw together for the Easter table. Should probably do some sewing on this. This is just the beginning.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqXd1iD5tTmlftl3LkM6LDg8tT85RwBHRB_UqwKJ59vo5pRffxVLNseL2ceXbERUKmJOkFv7Od-bkgChR_cz1Fa3hcWld0hMOJiouXAb-akDx2HH33Ua0PE7Vju18nkgr5tFFw40ChJFM/s1600/sampler.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqXd1iD5tTmlftl3LkM6LDg8tT85RwBHRB_UqwKJ59vo5pRffxVLNseL2ceXbERUKmJOkFv7Od-bkgChR_cz1Fa3hcWld0hMOJiouXAb-akDx2HH33Ua0PE7Vju18nkgr5tFFw40ChJFM/s320/sampler.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And then I have been doing some cross stitching, don't you just love it when a pattern comes out to your liking, it is going to be a needle book. I finished the outside in this photo. I have to finish the inside, since I waited a few days to post this it is almost done. Hopefully by the weekend I will have it done to show off. I saw this pattern on a very beautiful site http://www.thesamplergirl.com/ alot of talent on this site. They do absolutely beautiful work. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Well enough of me taking up your time, happy crafting whether you are sewing or painting. It keeps us out of trouble right?</div>sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-39851422547624180272011-02-25T19:34:00.000-05:002011-02-25T19:34:11.231-05:00?? been away ??Hello there all, I just noticed the date on my last posting.... I guess it has been a while.<br />
I'll bet you thought I was away on an exotic island with a handsome guy, just frolicking<br />
in the sand and surf. Oh how one could wish and dream, right?<br />
Well there are a couple of things that would make this impossible...... I am happily married and<br />
one other important, I haven't started my beach weather diet as of yet......<br />
So here I am sitting here in the living room with sweat pants, sweatshirt, sneakers and a shawl on<br />
trying to keep warm. Yes although it warmed up a bit today it has dropped down a bit and now<br />
we are getting a bit more snow. It won't amount to much but it just adds to the piles we still have<br />
outside. I know there are flowers to bloom out there somewhere! My hens and chickens that<br />
I brought in from outside last November (it was a last minute decision) are eager to get back outside.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSPpGY5nAnNn1RcFuuMipUuaZaOYIgjrIf8wFVcxv_by9kDk_fIELa4s_A1kU-9iNh250Vt8eFAfSsqVqTKjdtmdNxvAhlEJd00Y3oozquvdc98VlnBzBIWaTiRWX8tlno263aEi7TvsE/s1600/hen+and+chick.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSPpGY5nAnNn1RcFuuMipUuaZaOYIgjrIf8wFVcxv_by9kDk_fIELa4s_A1kU-9iNh250Vt8eFAfSsqVqTKjdtmdNxvAhlEJd00Y3oozquvdc98VlnBzBIWaTiRWX8tlno263aEi7TvsE/s320/hen+and+chick.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thats my little hen sitting next to the plant she was a bit of fun to make. But then again I enjoy </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">making any kinds of birds.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then I was working on a swap, our assignment was to embroider the swap partners initial on a </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">piece of material so they could make something of it. Her color of choice was teal, that is why I </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">chose that. I also threw in a little house with her last name initial. I do hope she enjoys what I did.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYvbjx2EpSaJCDlXfDwjNhhPy4gOfLxip1WTwODBaPiUhSl4J79hXojS5_9Z3cSuKUsVKoqPujDTIW9K9MAtz5Me93WLN5WQGKTQScCdM661YCt9n0MxvXUrJcvt_5NN2OkdRbfCtlURI/s1600/swap.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYvbjx2EpSaJCDlXfDwjNhhPy4gOfLxip1WTwODBaPiUhSl4J79hXojS5_9Z3cSuKUsVKoqPujDTIW9K9MAtz5Me93WLN5WQGKTQScCdM661YCt9n0MxvXUrJcvt_5NN2OkdRbfCtlURI/s320/swap.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then for the next fun project I was working on..........another banner</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGEUOun7-h1y984-HHM59ayhP7KO6M-tRyV0Q1XOe7kB1WI__1E3tYzhcFkXtTS7f0XH29mo-Dn2HQldv6naxzAxzrdZ3WijtGM3FTFRRRjyqw7gchnv3BEj-6ua4Lndee9XFEP0EZh_o/s1600/banner.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGEUOun7-h1y984-HHM59ayhP7KO6M-tRyV0Q1XOe7kB1WI__1E3tYzhcFkXtTS7f0XH29mo-Dn2HQldv6naxzAxzrdZ3WijtGM3FTFRRRjyqw7gchnv3BEj-6ua4Lndee9XFEP0EZh_o/s320/banner.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It says I love sewing...I am not a photogaphic specialist as you can see. Now what to do with it..</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">.......I shall come up with soemthing soon I hope!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Well I believe I have taken up enough of your time, I am off to catch up with some other blogs to see what you all have been up too! I'm sure all of you have been very busy. So until next time happy creating but most of all have fun!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I honestly think the weatherman is afraid to say anything anymore, we have so much. I actually like the snow does not bother me in the least, but when is there enough? <div>So with this week's snow and looking forward to spring, yes I am still seeing a simmer of light through that pile of snow. I decided to make something for Valentines day. It is not a big day but would this tabletop just brighten things up around all this cold and snow?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwZQIOsJGrv_fKQA1kZBm6MK69SEyny7GMessModleIzoJ7z0mNsgnYy7J5YtDC5S3gltXVLpNXpytSxltB3lXr8Mrq0EPzlWU-cTa_blH5u1cQBaeFcQemeLvgsEQVTR6Rn0K6rrMjV0/s1600/heart2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwZQIOsJGrv_fKQA1kZBm6MK69SEyny7GMessModleIzoJ7z0mNsgnYy7J5YtDC5S3gltXVLpNXpytSxltB3lXr8Mrq0EPzlWU-cTa_blH5u1cQBaeFcQemeLvgsEQVTR6Rn0K6rrMjV0/s320/heart2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

But then again this is ok with me, although I was sitting at my desk at work thinking it sure would be nice to get outside in the garden. Yes I do daydream a bit (ok alot) at work. But be honest who does not. Some of the greatest ideas come from sitting at a desk when they should be working.<br />
Today I made a banner, first one I have ever attempted to make. I must say I was a bit impressed with it. Actually I have always wanted to make one and what a better way then to use the birds I have been making and trying to figure out what to do with them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpySA6EW2QR0K49CdTLCHPjH-PAQht7BwOCnPAS4VcHYKy6j6tBytdj9Uiwp6HddYwQsUsqEYq1HfSajspxUIWvS4oVkZ6uA3K_LUStMFpdzR7pUScKTFxkvZmM1XG8K2CSqzQIcSm3kw/s1600/love+birds.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpySA6EW2QR0K49CdTLCHPjH-PAQht7BwOCnPAS4VcHYKy6j6tBytdj9Uiwp6HddYwQsUsqEYq1HfSajspxUIWvS4oVkZ6uA3K_LUStMFpdzR7pUScKTFxkvZmM1XG8K2CSqzQIcSm3kw/s320/love+birds.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>So what do you think? Not bad for a first timer? <br />
Then I finished a wall hanging with some feathered friends.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIQDJMpP5DVlGBVDT1gN44LhOgTrGB-X9F7fGbBB3gYnpZjUe3QAKJycj0G5oHPxm2BjrE55_q50fOjwKSMsKCEbrfIcewIdaH5B8nxWmhReLBSbVeietESruwY_EJbMSwSUXgVjGze_8/s1600/bird+hang.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIQDJMpP5DVlGBVDT1gN44LhOgTrGB-X9F7fGbBB3gYnpZjUe3QAKJycj0G5oHPxm2BjrE55_q50fOjwKSMsKCEbrfIcewIdaH5B8nxWmhReLBSbVeietESruwY_EJbMSwSUXgVjGze_8/s320/bird+hang.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I think my mind has gone to the birds, or maybe I am just thinking to much about spring lately?<br />
Well going to head to the sewing machine and fix my husbands pants, he has been after me for a while to do this. But I told him if I don't have that feeling of fixing them at the right time they just won't come out right (I only have to fix the waistband lol). So I am off to the mending! Wish me luck.<br />

And a most happy New Year to all.<br />
It has been so long since my last post. Like the rest of you I am sure, I was over whelmed by the Holidays. <br />
But now they are over quicker than a wink and I didn't know what to do with myself. I kept walking by my "projects" and saying I should get to this or that this evening. Well the evenings came and went and then yesterday, I started sorting through the mass confusion on my table and board. This is now what it looks like<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6TE3oaGQMd-rQh_fXZuA7_o6LOSl_3cpIye4I_F0eHTsN1IO07sMcMUnF7_ehEAF5l5-hHFnfCP63eIzxRd6iX3iAfcpvbrymKFM4uxZ019VXzKxtEHGzXFgTvw1BCZWfl8gSqVLgcY4/s1600/CIMG1016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6TE3oaGQMd-rQh_fXZuA7_o6LOSl_3cpIye4I_F0eHTsN1IO07sMcMUnF7_ehEAF5l5-hHFnfCP63eIzxRd6iX3iAfcpvbrymKFM4uxZ019VXzKxtEHGzXFgTvw1BCZWfl8gSqVLgcY4/s320/CIMG1016.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeeylLsv3_fIR_Uhg8J45cT6QxeZ1OrZhCnDR0-1SM-oxRJ0bFA6vJ2AYrkDhfD1FRl7TeB5F7Xj3enryEuep8Y8AhU9SkmJGAen58x56CPu6oVcpad4NgoHUtLVjqGPBcFna275w_o-g/s1600/CIMG1018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeeylLsv3_fIR_Uhg8J45cT6QxeZ1OrZhCnDR0-1SM-oxRJ0bFA6vJ2AYrkDhfD1FRl7TeB5F7Xj3enryEuep8Y8AhU9SkmJGAen58x56CPu6oVcpad4NgoHUtLVjqGPBcFna275w_o-g/s320/CIMG1018.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Believe me when I say this is cleaned up! Now to get back in there and finish up some projects!<br />
The only thing I did try is teaching myself to knit. I have to somehow learn to loosen up on my stitches I very tight on the needles. This what I made so far, a winter hat for Mr. Crow. He fought me all the way putting it on, was not happy at all about the white flakes i put around the rim.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl13N0Ub2Zs1Ddj9pLZl-VaKrZF6Ar_KlhKz0QUoit1A5u4aowKwa1aNYZpev6tvsVAH1QTepG4CjQWK9S2HVPTvXNs2cqdO7sGeCKndvDebdSo2NSZK5G0v5ebfDXaYl4AWRI3xWIcp8/s1600/CIMG1022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl13N0Ub2Zs1Ddj9pLZl-VaKrZF6Ar_KlhKz0QUoit1A5u4aowKwa1aNYZpev6tvsVAH1QTepG4CjQWK9S2HVPTvXNs2cqdO7sGeCKndvDebdSo2NSZK5G0v5ebfDXaYl4AWRI3xWIcp8/s320/CIMG1022.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Told him he could easily be replaced, shut him up quickly!<br />
Well going to finish some things around the house and maybe sit and sew a bit. Great day to do some sewing the sun is shining brightly in the craft room.<br />
Have a beautiful and warm day!<br />

Well I have been neglecting my blog and I said I would not do this, so I am sorry. I love reading everyone's blog and did some catching up today. There is a lot of beautiful work going on for the Holidays, and just pure fun for all! Thank you blog land for making it easy to meet new and exciting, talented people.<br />
I have been making birds and more birds. Not for the tree. I want to do something else with them. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to use them?<br />
Here are a few of them,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhR7ku3eo9O7uHUvvNwbYna0Cg53XMPmgsnZ9mKftMfPXpjrDK_OxDAtgObfzODhLQXzMIrFmk5Th3GgyVdcDiHxR8d8HCuTAOm_-tocBk9I1Y0Qi_pCiYExQFcW8NANvJVU_x3qpPjsE/s1600/CIMG0974.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhR7ku3eo9O7uHUvvNwbYna0Cg53XMPmgsnZ9mKftMfPXpjrDK_OxDAtgObfzODhLQXzMIrFmk5Th3GgyVdcDiHxR8d8HCuTAOm_-tocBk9I1Y0Qi_pCiYExQFcW8NANvJVU_x3qpPjsE/s320/CIMG0974.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>As usual my photos do them no justice!<br />
I also made a nice head rest piece for the back of the chair in my computer/sewing room. I love how the colors came out on this piece!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzS1PTRWWqpsIWbpPY0sUc7LxQcVZDGLzeOmtuoMkKx2Vha7LhdLA9WcE8uRh7b97sueuy071XqtazqcdXZftBvMw31eGcTOr3WRxEEF-mWfJtB0BEfDKSroyDcrGOCsWJ0ljr0_q_bXk/s1600/CIMG0968.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzS1PTRWWqpsIWbpPY0sUc7LxQcVZDGLzeOmtuoMkKx2Vha7LhdLA9WcE8uRh7b97sueuy071XqtazqcdXZftBvMw31eGcTOr3WRxEEF-mWfJtB0BEfDKSroyDcrGOCsWJ0ljr0_q_bXk/s320/CIMG0968.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Who would have thought "pennies" could be so decorative and so easy to use!<br />
Happy sewing and hope your Holidays are coming along smoothly.<br />

I mean you can never get enough pin cushions can you? There small enough to keep, lovely to look at and very practical right?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu5OUlSMUVLRmIctrsq52-V97eB0nFJyzmFYQCN_r9zEcZtkFUIxY4jZ7WudZbAp1bbkzUyjEUHdgu0Bo1QT1nD5kH-UdMw-GeAQeOaDwbeyBHNIApnuWrk2Egcog8gh3VUTVuSoXaoKE/s1600/CIMG0955.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu5OUlSMUVLRmIctrsq52-V97eB0nFJyzmFYQCN_r9zEcZtkFUIxY4jZ7WudZbAp1bbkzUyjEUHdgu0Bo1QT1nD5kH-UdMw-GeAQeOaDwbeyBHNIApnuWrk2Egcog8gh3VUTVuSoXaoKE/s320/CIMG0955.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>They were so much fun to make. The owls from a couple of great gals on www.the DIYdish.com. It is two sisters who do this program, I wish I could remember there names. The bird and bottle cap are just ones I came up with. They will find a spot on my table and make themselves right at home.<br />
Hope all is well with everyone, Holidays are right around the corner, please be safe but have FUN.<br />

Notice the strong word that I use "some things". I mean come on what kind of people start one thing finish it and start another. I know I don't, well I can't. I think some people call it a tick, a tick for crafting and I have it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8KxkYZIfGU5fcT8HshO9SqRFJes4s1HW1VW9u4DdYyx_CL7yU0OBsRhdn86SOjOt5NrWBtIDiLuW5s-C1GxEtwz9TqsRdgSgOTnfLKHfuZg-VMY6-TVeX4mG2qVhqN9yL_1zLd1fvGGg/s1600/CIMG0924.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8KxkYZIfGU5fcT8HshO9SqRFJes4s1HW1VW9u4DdYyx_CL7yU0OBsRhdn86SOjOt5NrWBtIDiLuW5s-C1GxEtwz9TqsRdgSgOTnfLKHfuZg-VMY6-TVeX4mG2qVhqN9yL_1zLd1fvGGg/s320/CIMG0924.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>As I had mentioned in my last posting I was doing a swap. This is part of the swap a mushroom and toadstool pincushion. The blog we got the pattern from is <a href="http://thelittlehousebythesea.wordpress.com/">the little house by the sea</a>. Yes, my daughter and her "boyfriend" got married. It was wonderful the whole thing. I think and I hope I am speaking for everyone but there was not one unhappy person at this wedding. Oh yah would you like to see a photo? I don't mind showing you because then I can see it again lol.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvNURtMc6lT6JTBZA-3wF0xJQi0U-ctnR6Veh2CSaP_YiFTrWMWE67ogTJXovnqmY2cSCYEwjBp3vxroOHb7uMGcmtkpz5NHxt2CWQWjB8dT4Q2xB47oClMOgYn2qJATxCW2fuvrZrCwA/s1600/60004_10150275576100223_528265222_14643346_6353480_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvNURtMc6lT6JTBZA-3wF0xJQi0U-ctnR6Veh2CSaP_YiFTrWMWE67ogTJXovnqmY2cSCYEwjBp3vxroOHb7uMGcmtkpz5NHxt2CWQWjB8dT4Q2xB47oClMOgYn2qJATxCW2fuvrZrCwA/s320/60004_10150275576100223_528265222_14643346_6353480_n.jpg" /></a></div>This is after the ceremony outside of the church. There good friend sang there favorite song. Wish I could remember at this time the name of the song. But all in all Erin and Alan worked very hard on this special day and it was. I wish I could express myself to them how special and wonderful they are.<br />
They mean the world to me, well to a lot of people. Love you Erin and Alan! OK the tears are starting to come down a bit to hard, so to move on.<br />
I have been working on a few projects and hope to share them with you soon. I have to finish up a swap right now, mushroom house, pin cushion. What a perfect time of the year to be working on sewing don't think? The nice cool weather, early evenings. Life is pretty darn good don't you think!<br />
Be well until next time!sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-87363028826247478262010-07-28T18:11:00.000-04:002010-07-28T18:11:49.199-04:00SummerHello bloggers,<br />
First I want to say I am sorry for neglecting my fellow sewers. I had said to myself "if you make a blog you should be faithful" and I haven't. But, I have been busy and tend to have a big mouth, you know letting the cat out of the bag. This is how it goes.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4OxJakJl8HaPzOS74_U6kPk-gQqrP13-lrhqIsnT35PNYcegFY-5hynS06LkLdPjQ-ygBAsQaon1ns6p0PK3-Jt7knDWkgOVc-TqNuNFEpzs5E94jxes4BqqfqEfK-IxJ2x5VwcFS7Z0/s1600/37830_1487820868946_1036670133_31368248_5654970_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4OxJakJl8HaPzOS74_U6kPk-gQqrP13-lrhqIsnT35PNYcegFY-5hynS06LkLdPjQ-ygBAsQaon1ns6p0PK3-Jt7knDWkgOVc-TqNuNFEpzs5E94jxes4BqqfqEfK-IxJ2x5VwcFS7Z0/s320/37830_1487820868946_1036670133_31368248_5654970_n.jpg" /></a></div>My daughter Erin is getting married next month, 31 days and counting, so I was planning a bridal shower for her. Working on all the decorations and who to invite and what not's. I wanted it to be special and it was. Erin is in white, Gabrielle (younger daughter) and I in blue (very proud). It turned out so well, I want to thank everyone who helped me out. Will have more pictures soon I hope.<br />
I do hope all is well, I have been keeping up with the wool crazy blog, and all the projects look wonderful! I mean you guys all do amazing work.<br />
The day after the bridal shower we went to a beautiful wedding my husbands nephew. He and his bride make a great special couple I wish them the best. Here is a picture of myself and my husband. Wish it had come out a bit better, but this is it. LOL<br />

I tell you it was terrific, they got to paint a flower pot, plant a flower in it, eat and eat, dance, listen to two great flower stories, it was so wonderful. And don't you think they all look so special in there dresses. I have to say don't neglect the little ones enjoy them when they are young. The imaginations and stories they can tell alone are amazing.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I have been doing some little projects, I'll try and get some pictures of those and fill everyone in!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Happy, happy blogging to all! So last year my Sister and I held our first annual Tea Party for our nieces. As you can see SMay was a bit shy in joining us, but she was very entertaining. The rest of the girls were very good. They had a ball, we had different snacks, played some games and made beautiful decorated hats. As you can see they had on there Sunday bests.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-e2fSPOVauhHo1y2Y9Udns9pmFA8v9Ual3AsyIQON1KFez2i9idUJFd6sWjxMpvorgTDuffnQixuVJo5Tu6Yjjk2lzbZEgoc7OF_8dSt7KeDMO4gwvmwezFKRnDJ1DvQ_ZhXTyR3IKcs/s1600/CIMG0109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-e2fSPOVauhHo1y2Y9Udns9pmFA8v9Ual3AsyIQON1KFez2i9idUJFd6sWjxMpvorgTDuffnQixuVJo5Tu6Yjjk2lzbZEgoc7OF_8dSt7KeDMO4gwvmwezFKRnDJ1DvQ_ZhXTyR3IKcs/s320/CIMG0109.JPG" tt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>This year we are thinking of a Flower theme. Planting a flower, decorating a pot. So in about 6 to 7 wks I will let you know how we make out! I'm hoping it is a hit like last years.<br />
<br />
In my last post the craft fair I was in, I should have pointed out that on the wall behind me there are two wall hangings that I did, only to forget the great person behind the pattern. The patterns are wonderful to work with, very easily read. I would love to give a big credit to Rocking Chair Stitches. The web site is <a href="http://www.rockingchairstitches.com/">http://www.rockingchairstitches.com/</a>. They have fabulous patterns. Never realizing they were from the same little town I was! That is a hoot to know now. I loved the pattern so much never noticed this. Also she is on the fabulous WCQ blog, I love it. Check out her new and improved blog, fabulous!!!!!<br />
<br />
Have a terrific Tuesday ladies!<br />

Sunday afternoon here, kind of rainy but the sun is trying to peak out. So I am sitting here watching the movie Avatar. It is a great movie, but very sad. I mean the meaning behind it is great, but to get there it is sad. Did I make sense? It is one that I will watch again.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_UDawpjl7w0mSg9t87Dx6y9cDVQ79m2jyQ19WcH8FlRsCdL8n4draDVsp3ui7_HHemAVsKg6K8kEeMZ3nlBzsYYBETclZmaDNXgT8cE4pPxicBk_DOh8msJgBAFQcsT5RVfKZuhNLqAM/s1600/DSC00713_0241-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_UDawpjl7w0mSg9t87Dx6y9cDVQ79m2jyQ19WcH8FlRsCdL8n4draDVsp3ui7_HHemAVsKg6K8kEeMZ3nlBzsYYBETclZmaDNXgT8cE4pPxicBk_DOh8msJgBAFQcsT5RVfKZuhNLqAM/s320/DSC00713_0241-1.jpg" /></a></div>So last weekend I did a craft fair. Was located down in Stonington, CT. Right next door to Mystic Seaport. Absolutely beautiful there. My sister and her girlfriend put the show on. Was a blast two other sister displayed there talents also. Unfortunately the people did not come. It had rained and was wet and damp. So we figure people did not want to come out, also it was the area first one. Here is a picture of me setting up.<br />
Have not worked on my WCQ in a while. So maybe today I can get to this and show you some new work. Lets hope?????<br />
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, no matter what the weather gives us!<br />

It is such a joy and pleasure, a complete satisfaction when you finish a project that you see sitting there. Don't you think? Here is one<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVy1aBZ1MCwMRFd9bqmBfRoH-jKq63EOG_OY4T5SRqxMuGCWj66o4Codhg-YYjJfuT5QMVSnU4Tc0qDug83W-4GOvSr5T-zfa7EiRTNYVeWIeaVYEPok8wM6QUSK7zfyc4831iuhQ-rnE/s1600/CIMG0580.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVy1aBZ1MCwMRFd9bqmBfRoH-jKq63EOG_OY4T5SRqxMuGCWj66o4Codhg-YYjJfuT5QMVSnU4Tc0qDug83W-4GOvSr5T-zfa7EiRTNYVeWIeaVYEPok8wM6QUSK7zfyc4831iuhQ-rnE/s320/CIMG0580.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">they look a bit washed out, I am not a photo wizard. I do hope you enjoy them. Now I am still working on my crazy quilt, trying to decide if I like the ladybugs I added. Also working on a sunflower runner, hope to be done this soon.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Although spring has arrived and I was able to clean up some of the yard last weekend it does not look like I will be going out to do this today. It is only 28 degrees out there. I think Mother Nature is a bit confused. So maybe some house cleaning and then some sewing!!!! Aren't I lucky!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have a wonderful day!</div>sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-50327747902720387452010-03-07T19:37:00.000-05:002010-03-07T19:37:05.494-05:00Colt State Park and Sun!Well today was the best day we have had in a long time. Spring is springing I believe. I think just about everyone was also out and about. A couple of sisters and friends headed to Colt State Park in Bristol, RI to look for sea glass. This is a small bit of what I found.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX5D90RWPgtWKiVlUa79xIfxRsA3Xm0IrVwVw4kTdGz31CPjarRQdo8dlljNcgU-Ac2THTd01EOlJopifCkSxHBLVv0owhgybXlH6hXk3lGC49w0rUwykLdxJiYyHrdOtBdDHOVTF9UsE/s1600-h/CIMG0564.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX5D90RWPgtWKiVlUa79xIfxRsA3Xm0IrVwVw4kTdGz31CPjarRQdo8dlljNcgU-Ac2THTd01EOlJopifCkSxHBLVv0owhgybXlH6hXk3lGC49w0rUwykLdxJiYyHrdOtBdDHOVTF9UsE/s320/CIMG0564.JPG" /></a>Not much you say? All the big ones stayed with a sister of mine she is making jewelry with them. Then I found some new rocks and sea shells for the bird bath!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDA-M8FVmJLXNajrcQBAQHiX_2fJuWQhZLfWheaaAxFmbp8DHn8sHq8PgCI6FOvlYcjDLj8x9m8ml6JG_C7mDJ85FjYZ_-7AepIwHZSgxYhDIgVxOK4WIsHVnkErdwCSTO_z1Bk-6__P8/s1600-h/CIMG0565.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDA-M8FVmJLXNajrcQBAQHiX_2fJuWQhZLfWheaaAxFmbp8DHn8sHq8PgCI6FOvlYcjDLj8x9m8ml6JG_C7mDJ85FjYZ_-7AepIwHZSgxYhDIgVxOK4WIsHVnkErdwCSTO_z1Bk-6__P8/s320/CIMG0565.JPG" /></a>The birds they say love the calcium deposits that are left in the bird bath water. We had a really lovely day there it was picture perfect.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here is an update of my quilt, It is coming along slowly but surely. There are alot of them done, but the pile that needs to be done is bigger!</div><br /><div>I started making the penny rugs a couple of years ago hence, my love of wool. It started when I was looking through my articles that I have collected from over the years. We all have those piles right? It was an article I had seen in a magazine from years back, I think it was an Early American Life mag that I used to subscribe to. </div><br /><div>The "pennies" where started to teach young women sewing skills, also a way of decorating or splurging on decorations items for the home. The ladies would collect peices of wool from old clothing. They originally used a coin as a template to form the pieces. This would be the top layer of three or four pieces. Some used burlap as the backing to weigh this down. I have read other articles where they have used actual pennies on the top layer, sewn right into them to weigh them down. </div><br /><div>I love articles on the penny rugs if anyone has any they would love to share please email me!</div><div> </div><br /><br /><div></div></div>sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-80127984654571172762010-02-25T20:34:00.002-05:002010-02-25T20:44:14.289-05:00Just bloggingHi people, dropping a note to let you know I have been busy with my crazy wool quilt and a few other odds and ends. I'm in the great group called swap-bot, random swapping. So I needed to get some Dotee dolls done. Iam hoping Saturday I will be able to post pictures for you. There never seems to be enough time in the day to get things you really want to do done.sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5042424741117640980.post-75757790768592978572010-02-20T12:54:00.003-05:002010-02-20T12:57:24.808-05:00penny rugs<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMlvhYpgGThsEitF-snreIlfDJH5ZF8BHctJVaABHAZ1tL3OJzbxyNM7ZGhMvuhzPDpqgnJqShy55FDXAtCkIYjI95FJGAB3BRkvQ-TbakH5_FsE3Ww0gpCNMXY4UQdkNScAbBoCiZn-c/s1600-h/handwork+009.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMlvhYpgGThsEitF-snreIlfDJH5ZF8BHctJVaABHAZ1tL3OJzbxyNM7ZGhMvuhzPDpqgnJqShy55FDXAtCkIYjI95FJGAB3BRkvQ-TbakH5_FsE3Ww0gpCNMXY4UQdkNScAbBoCiZn-c/s320/handwork+009.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440386009166874882" /></a><br />This is a penny rug that I have done. I started mine about 2 wks ago. It took so much time just getting the wool down, then I had to start the stitches. I am only working on this on the wkends, so I can really concentrate on it. Keep up the great work each and everyone of you! <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBcmhiihvd7tvr1YNVxCvo66V9T8ErtpsAr-HSPDWVcFwZu1B8_baKQCLEU4l6KdtIoaIcZJpijo3goVjdgW6O634XEThAcyad8oMidxtw8pFoY9RDmgTU6B1lDeMw-clTCmrGiNAww_s/s1600-h/CIMG0541.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBcmhiihvd7tvr1YNVxCvo66V9T8ErtpsAr-HSPDWVcFwZu1B8_baKQCLEU4l6KdtIoaIcZJpijo3goVjdgW6O634XEThAcyad8oMidxtw8pFoY9RDmgTU6B1lDeMw-clTCmrGiNAww_s/s320/CIMG0541.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440379769202511714" /></a>sunnisandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04254418448468235011noreply@blogger.com0
